Green Awareness
The Humber Bay Shores community has the unique privilege of being located not only minutes from downtown but also in the middle of an urban park. With our connection to walking trails, lake Ontario and the historic Humber River we recognizing this close relationship with nature, the Humber Bay Shores Condominium Association is committed providing our residents with information on ways in which they can reduce their impact on nature.
Recent HBSCA actions that support our Green Awareness program:
- Support and promotion of Earth hour
- A 2009 Green Awareness function for the boards of the HBSCA corporations and their property managers
- Green tips on the web site
- The promotion of Green features in all new developments in the area
- Promotion of battery recycling on member buildings
- Commitment to improved public transit
- Annual clean up days
- Monitoring of green issues with information being distributed to member corporations
