Zoning and Planning
(formerly Development Committee)
The Zoning and Planning Committee was created primarily as a mechanism through which the community within the HBSCA boundaries gains a voice in determining the nature of development in the neighbourhood. It is the committee's goal to maintain and nourish the beauty, appeal, environmental stewardship, and affordability of our neighbourhood by encouraging complementary development, and rejecting development that will damage the neighbourhood appeal. The committee is to working with developers and the municipal and provincial regulatory authorities to ensure that proposed development is matched with appropriate responses regarding infrastructure improvements. What we are currently working on:
- working with the City of Toronto Planning Department to improve the existing urban design guidelines to be applied to the remaining sections under development between [Park Lawn and Voyager and Explorer.]
