Starting in 2005/06, Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation will begin making improvements and additions to the very popular Martin Goodman trail from Marilyn Bell Park in the west to Leslie Street in the east. These improvements will include the development of a new waterfront promenade across the shoreline of the Park as well as a bypass trail parallel to Lake Shore.

Concurrent with this work, the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority will be constructing a 650 metre watercourse facility opposite the western half of the Park.
